How to disarm Lil Tony while he is alive?

Any Ideas? I tried Combos, Butcherknife in Head, Grapple. Neither worked.

i know 2 ways;
1. you either wait for lil tony to run out of bullets and drop the gun, then pick up the gun and smack him with it
2. use the disarm skill and steal his gun and kill him

Later in the game you will get access to a rope gun which you can use to disarm him. However, you will have to beat him until his 'guard' is broken (Yellow bar), which leaves Tony open for getting disarmed by that move and getting shot with his own revolver.

Knocking him down will make him drop the gun

Sometimes he’ll grapple, dropping the gun. Apart from that, a crotch kick should do the trick.
