Uncommon Bee hive spawned on an inaccessible islet

It's cut off by water deep enough to require the boat. I should probably just generate a new world and start over, right?

While it is probably best just to start a new world that early in the game, there is a trick that can be used if the distance isn't too large. Benches can be used to jump a space (Beds also, but then you need to have another in reach on the main land to get back). So you can place the bench that is given by the Waiting Around quest on the islet, click to jump over to it then press and hold the R key for 5 seconds to respawn back on the main island on the last bed you used (or the bed at Nanas' house if you haven't used any).

Ah that's unfortunate!

You would be able to still get enough bees without it to get a boat it would just take a bit more time than normal - as Suelyn said you could try using benches / beds to "teleport" over to that island (using pier tiles to place down on any shallow water), otherwise might be worth making a new world if you haven't got that far in
