Can't control the alien after met

Hi, on one game file the aline was controllable, but it wasn't when I started another game. Other than going and talking to it, is there anything else I need to do; or is it a bug? Thanks!!

The device is MacBook Pro 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, macOS Ventura 13.3.1.

Hi! Aw, that sounds like a bug... If I recall correctly, there were more people who had issues with meeting the alien cutscene. However, it might be that you still have to walk up to it with a villager - I think it's visible once it spawns, but you still have to "meet" it with one of your kind, if that makes sense!

Hi thanks for the explanation! : ) Yeah I think that’s a bug unfortunately. I did have one villager walked up to the alien but nothing happened. Though, I then started another game file and things worked again. Good luck if you are fixing it in the future!
