How do I even begin?

I get into a new game with a new map and a couple of villagers. I can't build anything. I can gather grass and store it. But only gather up to 2 wood, with the villagers holding them. Which you can't build anything for anyway.

What am I missing, to start playing this game?

On the top bar, there are icons which open a menu to build new things! Once you assign a builder to work, they will collect resources that are stored to do so. Hope that helps!

Oooooh, so you don't need the resources to begin building then? That's usually how it works, and the lack of tutorial meant I had no idea about that. Thanks for the heads up!
