Puzzle Help
Is a particular puzzle giving you a hard time?

When you've already exhausted all the hints using the "HELP" button, this is the place to come to for help!

If possible, please also specify which parts you understand about it, and which ones you don't. This makes it possible for me to add more helpful hints in the future. Thank you!

I'm on the escape cells mission and I'm quite stuck, I've checked every option and I've tried asking for help from Ima multiple times (I have puzzle solver enabled). Do you have any hints/advice that are a bit more specific?

Not sure which part exactly you are stuck on, but one thing that might help is showing the items you find to the people that are in the escape room with you. They might be able to tell you more about it!
I'm stuck, step-sister. :steamsad:

I'm also stuck in the cells. I "don't have anything to say" to the others, and can't figure out the pachinko pattern. He says the note is 2 squares so the second one will be a square, and get similar hints from other cells, but no combo works.

I thought it would be square, square, unsure of reira's cell; # on wall = ..square? then triangle from the ball, or square on the wall.........

Sorry for the late reply!

In case you're still stuck, the code works as follows: the number of occurrences of a symbol signify its position. So the reason the square is in second place is because there are two of them. There is one triangle, so that means the triangle is the first symbol. Now you just need to find an X and O and apply the same logic to those.

I hope this helps!

Not necessarily a puzzle, but I have been unable to figure out how to earn the affection point for Ashor during the break room escape, as indicated by the flow chart. I have spent a few hours on this, trying every item on him and talking to him at seemingly each step of the solution. I assumed that the heart point would correlate to either his fan or his reference to a couch puzzle, but trying all of the couch cushion permutations just results in a gag from Ashor, and it appears to be impossible to give him back the fan with the battery, as even when the player has access to the last radio riddle, you still hang on the fan, as long as you have the battery inserted, even when he tries to grab it, after using the chips on him.

I can't think of any more approaches, so any hints would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is definitely a tricky one! I'm honored by your dedication, and you already got very close to the actual solution:
Since I didn't want players to potentially lock themselves out of completing the room, you need to exhaust all possible hints from the radio by talking to Ashor repeatedly. Once you do that, you can exit the radio screen, and clicking on it again will always display the latest hint (whether it's powered on or not). Then, you can remove the battery and safely give Ashor his beloved fan!
Thank you, and I hope you're enjoying the Artificial Selection demo!

Thank you greatly for pointing me in the right direction. I'll post a robust review of the demo here, once I've explored all of the paths, but I'm already 17 hours in, so that does indicate that I'm enjoying it, at least.

For anyone else who gets stuck on this particular problem, there is one other, seemingly necessary step to earning that Ashor fondness. Once you've gotten the final radio hint, removing the battery will simply shut it back off. However, if you enter an incorrect solution into the safe at that point, then you'll be directed to consult Ashor. (The only wrong answer that I've found to trigger this is 8582.) Click on the radio (not on him), in order to trigger one last conversation about the solution. Then you can safely remove the battery, repair the fan, return it to Ashor, and earn that sweet sweet point.
