Nobody will ever fix this game
There's a lot that needs to be fixed in this game, but I don't think it's going to happen. I think this game was just thrown onto the market for the PC to cash in on the sales without ever wanting to work on it further. In the future I will stay away from games from this publisher and this developer.

maybe you're right but, IMO, it's a bit early to say so.

I think you can indeed accurately predict a DOA game once it is developed without any correspondence and released to no fanfare whatsoever.

This game was PRE-SOLD years ago, and it was only released NOW. Without a word to the buyers at the time. And even now there is absolutely nothing to read from the developer, either before or after the release. I think you know where you stand.

Ok think this way has many people don`t always what if the dev has Health Issues and is in hospital or Touch wood they are still alive. Hum Thought i would bring that to minds of people.

Or the developer is still at collage they could also be new to Development, and for what they want to do they maybe not skilled enough which takes me back to Collage nobody knows. no point guessing.
GamingGuyYT Oct 16, 2023 @ 9:54am
and also to publish a game to Steam you would need to buy Steam Direct £72.79 USA price could be different. Then on top of that if they chose Unity Pro 1,877 euros or 170 euros, Then they would have to also pay an estimated runtime fee of $5,000. Theirs a lot of things that happens behind the scenes when being a developer for a game and even maybe a solo developer. Developers loos money if people Uninstall and reinstall each time.
GamingGuyYT Oct 16, 2023 @ 9:56am
I do research so I can see what to expect because I am learning to be a Unity Game developer or unreal engine Developer. Developers only pay Unity runtime fee if they have earned game exceeds $1,000,000 USD gross revenue (trailing 12 months) or game has over 1,000,000 initial engagements (live to date)
GamingGuyYT Oct 16, 2023 @ 9:57am
and that the game is created in the 2023 LTS release or later
GamingGuyYT Oct 16, 2023 @ 9:59am
if your a developer you would already know this. but for non developers that is what LTS Means.

Q: what does LTS mean
A: Long Term Support

Health problems? Over three years and no way to explain anything to the buyers back then? Hardly likely. And all the other points you list are completely uninteresting! If I, as a developer, am unable to meet these points, I cannot publish a game. And the publisher still exists. And in this case it is not the developer himself who is the publisher. and BOTH have been unable to comment on the whereabouts or condition of the game for over three years? You probably don't believe that yourself. Here you just want to make quick money with a cheap product. It's that simple. This doesn't happen rarely, but it's always annoying for those who have already paid for the game and can no longer exchange it.

I understand what you mean. And no one said making a game was easy. But that doesn't change the fact that I can't collect money for a game and then release the game in bad condition some years later without any word. If there was any communication from the developer or publisher to the buyers, it would be different. But the way it's happening here, it's a no-go.

I think the OP is right about this game. I'm glad I held off buying this because as far as I know there has been no communication from the developers or the publisher regarding the sorry state the game released in.

What makes you imagine this game may have been developed by some poor, down-on-his-luck college kid who is possibly at death's door?! All you had to do was look at the store page right here on Steam to see that this game is developed by Ringzero Game Studio. It took me mere seconds to find the website:

https://www ringzerogames.com/

Alongside photos of the high-tech offices with their own in-house mocap filming studios, there's this info under About Us:

RingZero Game Studio is an international video game development company with many years of experience in game development. We have released more than 30 titles on a variety of platforms. We focus on the development of AA games for consoles (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) / PC (Steam) as well as the development of sponsored games for mobile. Our team is comprised of more than 100 professionals coming from 15 different countries.

In addition to production, we also have an internal QA and Live Operations team covering the full development, launch and post-launch cycles.

Furthermore, Hotel: A Resort Simulator is published by Bigben Interactive, i.e. Nacon, a public company, meaning its shares are traded on international stock markets.

https://corporate.nacongaming.com/en/

The below financial info is taken directly from Nacon's corporate website:

NACON has a track record of strong, steady growth, with an average annual growth rate of over 20% in the last three years and revenue of €113.1 million in 2018/19. In the first 9 months of the 2019/20 financial year, revenue was €104.2 million, an increase of 25.1%.

This strong growth was accompanied by a sharp improvement in profitability, with an operating margin of 11.1% in 2018/19 versus only 1.3% in 2016/17. This trend has continued into the current year, with an operating margin of 16.9% in the first half of 2019/20.

The jump in margins seen in recent years has been mainly due to NACON achieving critical mass and to an increase in digital sales, which command a higher margin than physical sales. Growing digitalisation also increases catalogue availability due to the rising number of distribution platforms. It also extends the life of a video game, measured in terms of the growing proportion of video game revenue generated by the back catalogue.

Well I am sure if you contact them and ask about the game. I sure would hope they will give some insight or even post them a letter. I would if I could but my phone contract does not allow calls outside of the United Kingdom. Unless I pay a large sum of money which is not cheap but very expensive.
