Opening safe

I dont suppose there can be an option to take this mini game completely out of the game, can there? So far i have tried to open it 10 or 15 times. I have failed every time, losing all of my money. I have tried the way suggested in the guide (walkthru). This also did not work. Obviously, this is not very fun.

From what I can tell is you can get an upgrade to the safe. There is a digital key pad you can unlock later in the game

I have the game on PS5 so I do not know if this will help you, but check the computer. When you put money in the safe you will no longer have it on your character. The safe will say that you have no money as well.

Are you playing the game with rebind keyboard keys for movement? If so, then that could be your issue. I've noticed that rebind movement keys do not work with the safe opening mini game. you will have to use A & D, or left arrow & right arrow keys instead.

I bet you are beating the game, red "X' means you completed the number not that you failed. check your computer, the balance goes in there after you deposit the money.

You can upgrade to a better safe, however there is a simple trick.

Just press left or right and spam the action button. That way, you won't miss any of the three "clicks" if you want to open the safe.

First of all, you can't "Fail" the safe. Those red X's are how many times you need to click the tumber to deposit your money, NOT how many "chances" you have to do it. Your bank money goes right into your computer where you can spend it. Every penny you have earned is still there, so relax. (:

Second, yes, you can get a upgrade that just lets you click on the safe once to deposit money.

The best way is to see when it zooms in the most, then click at that point but later on there is an upgrade to entirely eliminate this mini-game.

Ah! I thought the red Xs meant I was failing. That is good to know. Apparently I must be doing it correctly (I hope). Still not a fan of the safe though.

personally i hoped the minigame was a one time thing and i remembered the combination. but when i went back it was a different set of numbers. it's annoying for sure...

Changing the red Xs to green checks would help with clarity.

I also thought that I was failing the safe minigame...

Yep! You're doing it perfectly fine. Later on, you can use your pounds currency you get to buy lasting upgrades. One is an upgraded safe, but I saved up for the one that takes money directly from arcade hoppers to the safe. You still have to clear out the laundrymat token hopper though.

The safe minigame is also not very colorblind-friendly. I can do it, but it's pretty obtuse and unnecessary, IMO (unlike most other minigames)
