Won't let me clean toilet

I got it free on Epic.. but if I like the game I always buy it on Steam.
I can't clean the toilet says to click the mouse.. and I'm clicking the mouse.. nothing happens in the "sweet spot"

I didn't rebind the mouse. I clicked every button that was listed in the controls page but I couldn't get it to work.

Not boding well if I can't progress past the tutorial!

Yep, same issue here. Someone reported this bug 2 years ago, and had no answer.
