There's no reason why you can't clear a screen given you have infinite lives as long as you can survive on foot. I agree though, it takes too long to do three screens for the to-do list item. I usually cut my losses with that one.
Also the laundry to-do list items are even harder to complete than this one WHEN YOU HAVE REMOVED THE LAUNDRY COMPLETELY. That issue is still not fixed.
I usually find that I can cheese most of the to-do list items by starting the game and then quitting immediately - especially for those games where I just have to play it an x number of times or something.
I still managed to clear 10 screens before that happened to me though. Trick with the game is to look in the lower left map rather than on screen. It's just easier to play that way. Keep moving around the map either clockwise or anti-clockwise, and only use the tank in a pinch. When you've cleared enough of the map you can use the tank for protection to clear out the corners.
When you crash the car, try and stay away from the buildings as much as possible as they block your view. Cops like to jump out at you from them and you can get trapped in narrow alleyways.
Crashing is tough for sure, worry more about keeping on the move than spamming music notes.
