My experience...so far
Game started out fun and was fun for quite a while, but eventually got boring to me. It was basically a daily grind completing the daily objectives. To me, this game was not going anywhere, so I stopped playing. It wasnt fun to me anymore. It was more like work.

Did you complete the story? After that, there indeed isn't much left to do other than enjoying the arcade machines and hunting for achievements. The core of this game are the arcade machines, everything around it is mostly fluff (even though I found the story engaging and well-told). If you don't have fun playing the arcade machines for their own sake, then the game will eventually lose its appeal.

Most of the grindy parts can be removed or ignored. The washing machines all get removed eventually, you can hire an assistant to empty the hoppers, the daily tasks become pointless after you've bought all the songs and upgrades, and the frequency of machine breakdowns can be reduced. You'll still have to repair them occasionally, collect trash, and unclog the toilet - but if you don't want to, you can actually ignore all that. This will reduce your income, but after buying all machines and completing the story, there's nothing left to spend the money on.

So, in short: There isn't really an ongoing endgame in Arcade Paradise - after a while, there's nothing meaningful left to do. But you can still have fun playing the arcade machines and achieving all the machine-specific goals. Some of games are pretty good (a few times I started the game just to play a bit of Blockchain).

isn't that how all games are? you finish the main objective and the rest is just grind. some people like grind. some people want to finish out achievements or just find the mini-games enjoyable, but, every game ends eventually. if you had fun while playing through the story then it served its purpose and now you move on to another.

I am like you, I get bored easily and don't like grindy games. my wife on the other hand is obsessed with Diablo 3 as the only game she plays and has like 1000 prestige levels, no idea why. I got my platinum trophy on PS4 for Diablo 3 years ago and never went back. another example, I just finished my first playthough of Rimworld (built the space ship) and now I want to play something else. other people though have like 5000 hours in that game and its the only game they ever play. Just how it goes I guess.

I have no idea if I completed the story or not. I got no notice of anything. I expanded the arcade once and I have 100s of thousands of $ in my bank. I finally got bored enough that I stopped playing. Its still installed on my system in case something fun gets added to the game.

Hey there, we're sorry you felt that way, if you keep going past the first expansion, more awesome machines do pop up, and the grind gets a little easier as you go. If you're having trouble finding new machines on the Arcade Mania page, a controller or the WASD keys will help navigate the menu slowly whereas the mouse can make you miss some of the machines.

Thanks. Yes I have done the first expansion and got bored with the game after it seemed there was no more expanding to go. When I first started playing this game, I was under the impression that eventually all the laundry machines would be replaced with arcade games.

** SPOILERS**

They eventually do go and it turns into one giant Arcade in the story-line.
