Report a translation problem
Use the keyboard buttons WASD, to navigate should show you the machines you maybe missing. When you have the option to expand your space, you should get new machines to fill it out soon after, and again on the next expansion.
I too was stuck like this thinking I had to do the daily tasks for a while before anything happened (like buy a pound sterling item or whatever) I bought the glasses as they were the cheapest to find nope. But the above worked for me and I am now chugging along nicely.
if this isn't the case for you, then I hope a dev can help you as it maybe a glitch? Game doesn't seem to be well optimised with a mouse in mind.

Its all good, a minor issue, but luckily a perfectly good work around, this game does seem to be aimed more at controllers though to be fair so I can see why.
