Ending The Day
Loving the game so far. Big improvement over Vostok.

Besides some random glitches something kinda annoying that I've noticed is that saving and ending the day are a bit wonky. If you save you have to end the day either by going on the bus or just going through the menu. The bus gives you a nice summary of earnings for the day. However, if you want to end the game after that you have to choose end the day and you waste a day which throws off the financial charts.

Can we get an option to just quit the game after going on the bus and getting the earnings summary?

Hey Jbrodack, we're glad you're enjoying Arcade Paradise so far. I can totally feed this back to the team for you.

Alt-f4 will force quit you, when you re-start you go to the beginning of that day. So if you force quit first thing in the morning, you'll lose no game time and your financials will stay on track. They still need an ability to save anytime during the day, though.

I agree with this, it's not good to always have to waste a day if you just want to quit the game. You could make it like Stardew Valley, where the game only saves when you end the day, at least that's easier to understand.

Yup.

The advance the day gimmick if you exit is strange. What if I quit after the store closes at 9PM and don't ride the bus? Just saying if you have to leave your computer and don't have time for the summary and the start of a new day.

Secondly, if you do just get off the bus for a new day and decide to exit, it's all a complete waste.

Is it possible to do away with the loss of one day, please?

Your progress for the day will still be saved if you exit via PDA.

Yeah the PDA ojnly having an option to end the day seems weird, many people will want to save their progress before quitting. Just having an option to exit without saving probably seems best. I hope we can have mid-day saves/exits too.

seconding this, just inadvertently threw away a day of progress pretty early on where i really wanted the money because I didn't realize the pda exit would completely jump to the end of that day

Yes, but that's not what I asked. I'm just asking why we lose a day if we exit using the PDA. That's all. If it is what it is, so be it.

If the developers ever do any work on the logic around quitting, it would be nice to have the option to quite to desktop from the PalmPilot.

The think I hate most is how after quitting, it is very easy to accidentally hit continue. The default selection on the main menu should either be exit to desktop or a no-op.
