You don't make money from making change. It's bills in, coins out.
And I assumed the snack machines were empty. I only see one bag of chips dangling, and figured the pop machine was the same way. The pizza and burger packages and empty bottles makes me think folks are just bringing in their own snacks.
And at the end of the day, it's all about stocking your arcade so you can freely enjoy the games. In a short time, once you're fully stocked, money is absolutely worthless in game.
This is correct. A change machine's effect on profit isn't direct. All it does is turn one type of money into another type.
As for the snack and soda machines, often these aren't operated by the business at all but by whichever company owns the machine. For example, at my place of business, we have a coke machine. Our business does not stock the coke machine, and we do not get profit from the coke machine. About once a week, a coke rep shows up, refills the machine, takes the money, and leaves.
Challenge accepted!
Well, well, well. Now here's proof of someone who can't be civil. The point isn't I'm not capable of hearing your criticism. You can't even be polite. I'm perfectly aware the game has been out for a short amount of time, but who are you? What, are you triggered by clowns?
"So-called" petition? Yes, it's a petition. Exactly how does this trigger you? That's twice now. Are you THAT sensitive, you're triggered by triggering?
And, by the way, If you look carefully, the Devs do respond on these forums, and they do take suggestions. Whose bollocks are you pinching in dictating how I reach a dev if they're listening anywhere, including HERE?
Plus, you're no forum mod. Where do you get the absolute gall in dictating what I can post and how I do it? I am ABSOLUTELY calling you because, good sir, you are a twit.
Have a nice day. And why so SNEERIOUS?
Dear sirs:
According to this, below. It IS possible to pull profit from change machines. It doesn't matter that the below post is from a grocer. The ideal can apply to any change machine business.
Second opinion on a Quora, says:
And there's those that say you don't earn, zilch. I respect your opinion as well as those internet sources that say you don't get profit. To each their own.
...now towards the bottom of my post....
If you guys have read the rest of my thread, you'll see I'd asked for a WORKING vending machine. That is, having it stocked with snacks. Do you guys even...?
And why not have working vending machines, such as the soda and snacks. Can't we pull profit off that? If we want vending in our arcades, why the anti-sentiment against it? Just saying.
If we get profit off the change machine, fine. If not, no big loss.
If we get working vending machines, AND profit from it, great. If not, no big loss.
If we get static (i.e., "decorative, non-functional") machines, I'm also okay with that. If you want to consider the current vending machines as decor, groovy. I hope we can keep them. If not, NO BIG LOSS.
Come on, guys. We don't know what the finished game is. If there is NOTHING that will be included from these suggestions, so be it. My ideas are what they are. Ideas. It's okay if you disagree, but I'm pointing we don't know what the devs will do. That's the POINT. If they listen, good. If they don't, so what?
And, by the way, I never said anything about floor rubbish. I can clearly see what patrons are bringing in and, yes, I do see that it's NOT anything coming out of any vending. But respectfully, how does floor rubbish have to do with asking for vending machines you can loot? I'm not getting what you're alluding to. And who says we don't OWN the vending machines? Because you CAN purchase them in real life. And you can make deals with suppliers and charge whatever you want, so long as you're paying for the bulk rate. Right? Therefore, you can profit from vending, but you can't charge too high, nobody likes expensive crap. That I understand.
Peace.
(I'm not currently commenting on the change machine. If there's one thing I learned from Stack Overflow, the website (not the game here in Arcade Paradise), and other Stack Exchange sites like Super-User, is that multi-topic discussions can be difficult to manage, as responses to just one topic can lead to multiple unrelated conversations in the same thread.)
