I need more.
This game has a very particular aesthetic that scratches a very particular itch for me and I need more. The whole schizo-acid-cybertrash PS1 ♥♥♥♥ really does it for me. Does anyone know any other games that are even remotely similar to CS? The more obscure, the better.

And just to be clear, I'm not asking for games with similar gameplay styles, it's the art style that draws me in.

Yeah that's pretty close, good suggestion.

Well, clearly you've already watched "The Interface" which was going to be my suggestion lol.

Yeah, Interface scratches a similar itch, looking for games here though. But good on you guys, you have great taste.

PostVoid and GoldenLight are two that come to mind but I'm not sure if theres many others (juice galaxy ofc as well). Hopefully in the future we'll see more of these vomitcore aesthetic type FPS games as there does seem to be a (very slow) trend of them showing up.

Also based umami/interface poster

These are very good suggestions, probably the closest I've seen so far.

And I feel like I shouldn't be surprised by this but it's pretty cool how everyone in this thread recognizes Interface. Great community we got here, for real.

Speaking of aethetics and general vibe, I'd name 3 games that felt close to CS for me:
Killer7 - weird japanese 'on-rails' shooter, haven't finished it yet so I can't elaborate more.
Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk... - short, depressing and dirty cheap russian VN with an eerie atmosphere and pretty good storytelling.
Hylics - obscure rpg with unique artstyle and weird...everything else.

There's an old, free mod for Half-Life on Steam called Sven-Coop. It's standalone now. There's a few mappers over the last 20 years that have made maps that are pretty similar to this in style. I actually just found this game scrolling through Steam and I initially thought that somehow they had made their own game and put it on the Steam Store because the style looked so similar. But like, it's not the whole game. It's just individual mappers's maps for the game. So you kind of have to know the mappers to find the maps. If you play the game enough you will randomly play the maps as the servers cycle through them. Most are individual maps, but I've played a few campaigns with the whole acid-trip vibe to them.

I actually have played Sven once or twice before and found a map or two that's just like what you described, can't believe I forgot about it.

Do you know any specific map or mapper names? That would be incredibly helpful, but if not I understand.

LSD: Dream Emulator can end up with similar vibes.

Wasn't that an old PS game? Do I need an emulator for that?

Keen is one of the regulars for trippy maps. They range from pretty coherent/structured to "what kind of amphetamine were you on when you made this".

Turrican is famous for the SecretCity maps where you have to find all sorts of secrets to finish. Not full on acid bath, but kind some pretty trippy puzzle areas.

Robootto has a bunch of wacky ass stuff, but his whole theme is unfinished content. So it's just incomplete, weird environments.

w00tguy I think is the one that's making a mod that can reskin regular maps with really trippy textures, and can also randomly generate trippy maps that don't really have any objective other than to be trippy. I don't have any resources for that though. It's in development and the test server just pops up randomly sometimes.

And then there's other trippy maps by randoms. Maps with big penises you have to fight and creepy amateur horror maps. I've been in love with the mod since 1999.
