In most cyberpunk media they decry their setting and tech but it looks empowering and sexy.
Cruelty squad also has augmentations and stuff but it's viscerally disgusting biohorror. It's basically beating you over the head that this is bad, because previous approaches don't work. Nobody in their right mind would fantasise living in cruelty squad's world
