Grappendix nerfed in the new beta branch?

Am I imagining this, or what? Seems like the Grappendix gives you a lot less lift now.
Granted, I'm killing myself accidentally less, but I think the sweet spot is somewhere springier than what it was adjusted to

The grappendix was changed because it was heavily FPS reliant and on lower FPS, it barely worked at all.

Still, there's got to be some way to boost the base speed. It just feels so flaccid now.
