Is it possible to remove curse

After entering a mission with the cursed torch and leaving my game seems to be permanently cursed and finishing a mission normally or on punishment mode doesn't remove it. not sure if this is a bug or intended feature but if anyone knows if i can change it back to normal instead of staying on CBT mode i would appreciate it.

found out how to remove the curse you need to get to the final level "Archon Grid" and use the orb to restore your divine connection and remove the curse , so yes this is an intended feature and not a bug just don't get it early or you have to play the entire game with it.

You can get rid of it sooner. You don't have to play the entire game with it. You just have to beat a mission on Punishment mode for the first time to restore Divine Light .

ok i already tried this since that's what you normally do to get Divine Light back but i can confirm this does not work while cursed. did a run of apartments on punishment which i had not done yet, end of level text said punishment received but did not remove the curse.
