Cursed Torch
I found the cursed torch by exploring the crypts in paradise and I used it to eradicate hope in the headquarters, but going down the hallway kills me. I thought I'd have to do a sprint so I equipped all movement based items, but still couldn't make it and it looked like there was a lot more after it. I found a secret skull wall in the side too, but going there kills me as well. Do I have to do something else with the Cursed Torch first, or is it a puzzle contained within the level? Spoiler free if possible, just looking for clarification. I haven't beaten the game if that helps, been regaining humanity the "one time only" way

I dunno why you'd recommend that. The upgrade from that door is objectively positive and doesn't change any ability to get the initial ending. Unless you mean the CSHQ door and not the Pharmokinetics door, in which case... meh. Either order for those two works, neither depends on the other. Trauma Loop is the only one that should have any place in an order and that should be last.

I get why you'd say to skip it until you've beaten the game though, because the cursed torch makes everything bright red and additional enemies spawn. It's basically like a hell mode or something. Too bad I already found it

luckily speedrunning this game is fun and I got back to where I was in an hour or two, thanks for clarification. I didn't even know about the shop until I looked around for it
