Game refuses to start

I have played maybe 3 or 4 times. Closed the game and it wont start again.

I have tried uninstalling, restarting, clearing out the app data. Every time I get "Godot Engine has stopped working" on boot. Every time I boot the game, it will create a Godot folder (if I deleted the previous one) which contains a log- but that log is empty.

Edit: Updated my drivers, still no luck

Any idea on what to do here?

did you try not to delete the godot folder but the things inside the cruelty folder there?

do you have enough space free?

maybe someone can provide his savefiles to test if it helps.

most people with startup "crashes" dont get a message like you.

do you have another pc or laptop to try on?

3. I have tried booting with and without my old save files to no avail
4. Yes, but would definitely like to get it running on my machine :( I will try on a different laptop to see if the exe itself even works.

Will keep messing around to see if I can get something to stick.

Okay, tested it out. Boots up okay on my old laptop.

thats good, but means somehow your setup and gotop break each other now.

maybe try safetymode on your pc. if it works to install and play there. it helps narrowing down more.

did your pc install any updates or drivers since last time?
maybe empty the temp folder of the pc?

its all guessing from me, btw.

dumb idea. copy the installation folder of old laptop to your pc and overwrite the files.
makes no sense cause you reinstalled. but

No dice. Something is definitely just incompatible. I did not really touch my computer between sessions. I closed the game and then tried to open it maybe 2 hours later when I returned to computer. I will just slow down and hopefully I can figure it out over the next couple of days. Thanks again for your help.

Update:
Disabling my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and running the game using the on-board Intel HD Graphics 630 card worked!

I can play the game, although performance is definitely worse. Maybe I can figure out how to get it working again with my graphics card.

I just bought the game and I'm having the same issue
I have tried your suggestions but even using my iGpu HD4400 doesnt work
Using a GTX 1070 and i7 3770k ,everything is up to date
