Why did Kiryu agree to the "deal" (SPOILERS)

I just started my first playthrough of "man who erased his name" and im still confused about the Y6 ending. I still dont get it why he agreed to this deal with the politican at the end? Can someone explain? Why did he leave his past life behind? So haruka and Yuta can live in peace? Is that it? Or is there more to it? Or does it get explained in Man who erased his name.

You played 6 right? Its explained there. Basically Kiryu had a massive part in revealing the secret of onomichi (the yamato mk2 warship) and this warship was basically the winning hand daidoji had over the government since he was tasked in destroying it after ww2 but ended up keeping it hidden and then blackmailing the govt to give him tons of money, he basically grew massive power. Alongside heizo iwami who also superceded the ship by appointing hirose as the assassin to kill anyone who tried to unveil the truth or knew of it, they were all in it. Because kiryu basically caused that secret to come out, he was on daidoji's hitlist but since the damage was already done, he ended up taking the deal, purely because the children would be in danger.
Remember, baby iwami basically constantly used haruka as a threat all because kiryu was "alive", and kiryu knows the secret of onomichi, so he took the deal by keeping the ships existence and its circumstances a secret whilst daidoji provide a death certificate that kiryu kazuma is 100% dead following the events of rgg6's final boss where he gets shot. Now kiryu is dead nobody has any reason to target haruka and the other kids

Yeah, i finished it 2 days ago. But was still very confused about the ending.
I knew he wants to protect haruka and he'd do everything for her but i was still confused about the whole WW2 thing.
