Arwinia is retro-hard. Users who want a more casual experience can unlock an easier mode for playthrough by kneeling at the very first tombstone for 5 seconds. This mode unlocks an additional 110 HP to start, 30 lives per continue, and minimized knockback. When you die your game rewinds to the previous checkpoint. - Added new magic items mechanic. Magic items once acquired can be wielded at the same time as sub weapons. Toggle with Y and use with X. As with all controls, buttons can be swapped in control menu.

- Added new magic potion item to replenish health on demand. Multiple potions can be collected and stored.

- Added new magic amulet item for force field shield. Continued use after a short recharge time.

- Added new magic spell book with bright spell. When cast all enemies on screen will receive double fireball damage. Each spell book can cast 5 spells.

- Tightened up some hit box and capsule behaviors

- Updated some backgrounds

- Simplified sprite meshes

- Updated to latest engine

Basic Strategies for Stage 3: At Three Sisters you really only need to enter the third tomb, but it is a good idea to collect the treasure in all of them. The sarcophaguses contain more treasure than chests. Here you will find many of the same enemies as the previous levels with the addition of mini hell cats. Basic Strategies for Stage 2: You can kill the armored skeletons by striking them in the head and then quickly hitting them again while they are stunned. They like to crowd the platform edges, so jump across to their platform before they get to the edge if possible. If they are already at the edge your first strike will knock them back enough to make room to land. Basic Strategies for Stage 1: You don’t need to kill all the enemies, jumping over them is sometimes better. The zombies move relatively fast and will keep coming as long as you are on the stage. They are easier to kill when they are traveling alone. When they come at you in pairs they are hard to kill and it is often better to just jump over them.
