Play online with friends?

Is there a way, if you own the game, to play with a friend online that doesn't own the game, or do you both have to buy it? Also, do you HAVE to both have HG accounts to find each other? This may be a barrier to getting certain friends to play.

Hello! Yes you both have to own the game and the DLCs you want to play with. But if you own the DLC on another platform (iOS or Google Play) friends can still invite you to games with those decks and you can accept the invites on any platform.

You do not have to register to play online, you can play as guests, and coordinate with your friends to enter one's open games in the open games tabs. If you want to add friends to your friend list and invite them specifically you will have to register, but I promise it's a very painless process.

You can use steam's remote play in order to pass and play with a friend. That's what i do with my friends who don't have the game. =)
