To add my 2 cents here: we're not asking to be able to get a 4* for free by using a team of 3* units. BUT the fact that getting a 3* unit with a team of fully leveled 4* units feels so unattainable makes the event feel very "questionable", both in terms of purpose and fairness.
As an example of something that was done right: Landing Event. It was of reasonable difficulty and gave players some stuff that is useful at any level (cubes, energy, special fragments).
The Random Fragments event also feels "fair", because even though I am not able to finish it at my current level, I am not missing out on a new unit either. Meaning that it feels more "incremental" and less "punitive".
On the far end of the spectrum, the Retro Event is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on PC. These clearly designed for mobile minigames should've never have made it to PC.
