The glaring graphics on an Asus PG32UQX is blinding!!
Firstly, Observer is an interesting game, and visually stunning to play, The visual design is quite arresting, even hypnotic, and it draws me into the game. In many places, when the balance is right, Observer is a marvel to look at. Of course all of this depends on the right equipment being used. My i9 10900k and Auros 3090 extreme gobbles up a game like this in 4K, no problem. I'll get to my monitor in a moment and that;s where the issue lies.

However, the graphical overload in this game, nay, visual pollution is quite overwhelming to the point that it's distracting and immersion breaking. It's a childish infatuation with unnecessary visual bling that works against the game. After a while it's simply irritating to play, and that's a pity.

As it happens, my monitor is the mighty Asus PG32UQX MiniLED. This 32 inch monster goes to 1400nit brightness and it'll burn your eye balls out of your skull. And that's precisely how it feels like playing the game. But like I said, when the balance is right, like in the initial entrance to the hotel, the visual design is so good, so well conceived, that I take my hat off to the artistic genius behind the conception,

Playing this game has turned out to be pure punishment. It's graphics are headache inducing. I'm giving up and moving on. It could've been a great game but the graphics are blinding.
