Resolution 3840-1600. But before i played demo on 1080GTX and....no problem at all as well.
Who are blaming the game? Not me. Only saying this is the only game that happens to me, and if somebody has the same problem. It's weird.
You should use some GPU benchmark software (Heaven, FurMark, 3D Mark etc)?
That way you can see how your card performs under constant 99% use, & then you can make a fan profile that will be able to deal with it when you get a game that like this that pushes it for long periods.
Ray-Tracing seems to be the root of the problem. Unfortunately, it turns the game into an unoptimized mess (crazy temps, FPS dips, stuttering, etc.). Turn it off and the game should run much smoother and your GPU won't turn into a space heater.
For reference:
GPU - EVGA 2080 Super Hybrid FTW3 (factory overclock, AIO cooling, custom fan settings)
CPU - Intel i7-9700k (stock 3.60GHz, AIO cooling, custom fan settings)
RAM - 32GB @ 3200MHz
MONITOR - 2560x1440, 1440p @ 165Hz (with G-Sync)
I think that this hardware is outdated, you should purchase new computer.
Kinda disappointing since I wanted to play through this with ray tracing enabled, but it is what it is.
No heat issues with a RTX 2080ti. The fans do not even spin up beyond normal desktop levels.
