Try this Seed

When starting a new game use the following Seed number: 1429927707. Select English ethnics. Enjoy.

Seed sets up the city itself.
Ethnic sets up WHERE in the city you start.

I'm no rocket surgeon and I made this one work well. My guess is many of you can really make some serious cash.

If you are having trouble getting it all figured out, this Seed is VERY friendly. And whilst it is friendly, it's not easy so you'll still have a challenge.

Having run a number of new games to trial and error different aspects of the game, I've found this Seed/Ethnic combo may be excellent for a new player that is struggling a bit.

Anything after that will work on the current version of the game. SomaSim has posted that older seeds, listed in this thread, can be used on the Archive version of the game.

I've got one better, would attach a screenshot if I knew how. Stars above the left bride leading to Kentucky. Lockup the bridges within the first few turns. Starting territory produces apple juice so perfect for Cider right off the bat. Plus has 3 other stores in starting home territory all which sell or produce things including missions!

Start position in the lower left of the map. Starting safe house gives apple juice and the skill for apple jacking. Plenty of stoneware nearby. Local precinct is patrolled by your father, so easily the "easiest" cop to bribe, possibly, ever?

Terrain forms very defensible position, with excellent expansion option due north to two train stations, one cargo, one passenger. I love the over powered train mechanics.

The drawback I found on the map is paper (for English smokes) does not spawn nearby. You'll need to explore 50% of the map to find some paper (I got there in 1926 or 1927).

With the trains and a combination of speakeasies and supper clubs, you can just print money after a time. Enjoy.

Don't think it works like that. When I tryed that seed, I got a few blocks in the midst of a ginormous forest.
Or is that only my installation? I'll try reinstall in either case.
