The devs didn't want you to fight in Canada, but to find connections to get rare (canadian whiskey) alcohol to ship back to the U.S.
Really though even if we were able to just get more safe houses or more than one guy Canada side would be nice, I think, haha your one dude with only bats and stuff to arm themselves is pretty vulnerable to local hoodlums.
edit: that said, does make sense that the focus was about whiskey instead of turf and crime overall - hehe if I could figure out how to smuggle more conveniently back from windsor would be nice - is the train depot the only option or are there favors for opening up the river?
Everyone detroit side for missions wants the backroom beer I took from a dead hoodlum who died from 2 others brawling it out near my safehouse on the Windsor side :p
My current game does have 1 purchaser of alcohol on the Canadian side, so it is possible to make and sell a very limited variety of alcohol in Canada. That could get you enough money to purchase canadian whiskey regularly and ship it back to Detroit.
