Gambling house losing money
My gambling house, twice in a row now, lost a massive amount of money. So bad I have a negative balance right now.

Is it 'payment' for the business opportunities (gaining control of new buildings)? Or is something bugged?

Once one of my people had a negative cashflow and this time just the gambling house.

Do you have Roulette tables? Read the odds on those carefully. Big payouts are rare but not impossible.

Hey Twelvefield,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I do have roulette tables. Perhaps I just got unlucky. Since I posted someone won another 60k.

I will note down timestamps from now on to check the frequency.

Roulette is generally profitable, but you have to have a large cash reserve because it will bite you. It's not so much a matter of luck but time. Even so, it's a good idea for you to keep track of your timestamps.

Beyond that, some gamblers simply do very well, but not like Roulette. Except for Roulette, you should be able to spot most gamblers who are on a run. With Roulette, those big payoffs happen before you can do anything.

Don't forget gamblers with certain traits can help or hurt their odds, too.

Careless gamblers can bet 1.5x table max.

Confident gamblers can bet 1.2x table max.

Cautious, Mellow, Nervous gamblers will only bet up to 0.9x table max.

Cautious and Nervous gamblers can also bet down to 0.7x the table minimum.

I have no idea if these stack.

There is a bug for me with the blackjack tables. Everyone gets a couple thousand dollar earnings across 3 gambling houses in the same turn. When you go to the person, it says zero earnings last turn.
You got to kick out the gamblers winning too much money. Also you got to stack a lot of cash at those gambling houses. However, if you're strategic this can pay off. For me I sometimes forgive gamblers in debt so I can get them to lift some booze to keep my speakeasies running for cheap. I made so much money it was insane.

Roulette wheels have a 1% chance of a 90:1 payout. If you don't want to remove it, but can't afford to keep running it the way it is, see if you can get that 1% down by levelling up your manager's Mechanically Minded. It might help. They'll still win at 90:1, though.

Around 3k$ was missing from my Gambling House two times but when I look on the money ballance from previous turn it all added up good.
IMO there is a bug in cash management when Gambling House is included in the automatic route. Or I'm doing something wrong. If anyone is having this problem- check the status of the courier running automatic delivery after he/she visits the Gambling House.

Not sure if I'm 100% right but from what I investigated the "ensure cash on hand" does not work- the crew member will just take the money out of the casino (or I don't understand how this option works).
The same happens if You want to leave cash in the casino with "up to..." option and then "take $ but leave at least..." option as the next step. I wanted to have ie. 5000$ in the building but take out the profits above 8000$. My crew member just took all the money every run.
What worked is to separate those steps:
- put money into Gambling house until it has 5000$
- do something else nearby
- get $ out of Gambling house but leave at least 8000$

You shouldn't need the middle step. As long as the first step is "Drop off: until location has $5000" and the next is "Pick up: all but $8000" from the same gambling house you're good.

It's easy to select the wrong option by mistake, or you change something and it alters to automatically pick up everything, so sometimes you have to double-check the route steps if something isn't working the way it should.

The only time I really have an issue with the gambling auto-routes is if I've upgraded it and installed new features and forgotten to update the route to drop off more money, or if there's a feature that eats through money (e.g. roulette, blackjack) and there's not enough of a buffer.
