Buying New Backrooms.
I'm wondering if someone has some good insight on this. I guess the purpose of my post is, I'm curious to know what peoples strategy to this is.

The most noticeable thing is they get more expensive after each new purchase.

Extorted businesses will also be more expensive than buying from a fronts location.

Controlled corners and fronts, increase the price for every piece of turf gained. Tested this one with reloads.

Is expanding to fast detrimental to your business gains early on? Or will the protection rackets eventually pay for the increased building purchase?

In my current game I'm starting to wonder if expanding to 30 corners before turn 100 is hurting me or helping me. I only have 4 backrooms and my last one cost me $3100.

the further you go to the game and the more expensive to buy new front means that you should focus on 2 things. 1st to connect to your territory throw expansion plus having that front on a center of a tile that can expand to all directions with as many stores on those surrounding areas as possible. For example expanding on a center location and on west , east , north and south there are business owners, you can extract 20$ from each. In most cases i found that my averange income from extortion in 1 front per month is around 100$, which means that in a year you will be making 1200$. I haven't reach to the point that i need to buy a new front for 1200 yet. Now backrooms is a different thing. They are more expensive the more you have. It gets more expensive based on how much money you make. So it balance it out rather than letting you steamroll around. Now if you are interested on getting endgame goals and rewards, you should pay attention(specially 1-2 years to end game) to good you perform vs other outfits on the ledger. You can always keep an eye on that and try to compete vs other outfits to see how good you are doing.

If you want to stand a chance later in the game then you need a train station. That'll allow you to sell alcohol in bunk and give you like 6K every time. I've gotten to the point that my production being faster then my deliveries so I've just got a ♥♥♥♥ tonne of Brick Wine and nothing to do with it. I think if you have a backroom that produces like Brick Wine or one of the others and the one that you can passively get income from using that Brick Wine or whatever it is then expand to Sparkling Sider or even go Counterfeit Wine as I have.

The protection racket feeds your gangster count. More gangsters gives you flexibility on how you grow (Production Managers/Delivery Drivers) and how to deal with outside forces (Enforcers). You really need a balance of front growth and businesses.

Do not pass up interacting with Business based Hooligans or party/poker games in order to expand your outlets. You aren't growing too fast.

All very nice replies, SO you say those parties and poker games are worth?

Many times those parties and poker games provide you a contact. Meaning, you likely gain a new place to sell an item. Occasionally, you gain an opportunity to mend a relationship. Rarely, you will receive a mission to drop 40-120 goods at a location for choices on rewards, including cash, materials in exchange or skills. Very rarely, you learn about some vendor selling something that you might need in your operation.

I'd tell you that if it isn't going to take away from your main operation and can afford it, then it's worth doing. The contracts are worth doing. The additional relationships are nice but you can get that from favors. Increasing rep on bad relationships hasn't been meaningful to me. That vendor selling something I needed was Neutral Alcohol and helped cover my moonshine production gaps.

It's not always a hit, but overall I found them to be worthwhile.

Put your fronts in locations where you already have decent relations and start extorting them for a guaranteed success (unless they have that trait that makes it harder)

If you're expanding your fronts JUST to earn protection rackets money, you're doing it wrong. Money should always come foremost from your operations and you need to pick what to build wisely. Look at my guide to see what's the most profitable and your area's suppliers and buyers and pick accordingly.
