Stuck on Loading

Since a week ago I have been suddenly unable to make a single player game or play multiplayer. Everytime I try it gets stuck on the Loading screen. I tried posting the problem on Discord but got no response or help. If anyone can help or knows a potential fix please let me know. I have already tried restarting my computer and verifying file integrity.

Myself and a couple of friends of mine are having the same issue. We first started out thinking that maybe it was an issue with a couple of mods at the time, since we'd been using a couple to spice up the game, but after uninstalling it and the base manager files in the game directory, I still have this issue. So it can't have been that, but the strangest thing is, for some reason after making a new profile, without any fixing, screwing around, or resets, the game functions just fine, albeit with a complete lack of progress. Anyone else have any troubles like this?

Edit: Alright, so I did some experimenting and can confirm that whatever the issue is, it has something to do specifically with the selected profile that I've been using since I first got the game, since even installing it on a computer that's never run Across the Obelisk still had the issue. Anyone know a way to mess around with that without destroying 100 hours of progress?
