"The Last Sentinel" character-specific options

In The Last Sentinel, which appears to be the node to unlock the golem character, it has one option that says [Accept] and then some flavor text. One option with a picture of Magnus and some flavor text, one with a picture of Evelyn, and one that says [Decline]. What does clicking on the ones with the character pictures do? Does it still accept and unlock the new character, or does the pictured character get some kind of bonus, or is there a skill check, or what?

Those are just different options to accept the quest. The devs should make it clear what each of the options will do, but they probably think the mystery(of potentially screwing you out of what you actually want to do)is exciting for people. Which for a small percentage of people it probably is.

So just three different buttons that have the same exact effect with no difference except flavor text? That's not something I'm used to in this kind of game.

sometimes depending on who you bring, that character's options may b ypass a challenge or may give you different rewards.
