Across the Obelisk

Image copying?
I play an idle game called Legends of Idleon, and oddly enough the character skills in Idleon share many images with some cards in Across the Obelisk.
Is there a reason for this? are they made by the same people or did someone copy someone else

Its common for games built in Unity by smaller dev teams to rely on one or more asset packs, where they've paid for the right to use the art in said packs for their game. Its a way to keep development costs down for teams that can't afford to have fully custom art. Play enough small-scale indie games in Unity and you'll see that this is a normal trend.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some of the images in a royalty-free asset pack I bought a while back, so most likely both games used it too.

Across the Obelisk did use an asset pack during Early Access, but most if not all cards and items should be using new, unique art that was created specifically for ATO now that the game is out of Early Access!

If any of the newer art is being used in another game, please hop on the Discord and let the community team know which!

No one copied anyone. Dozens of games use icons from the packs of icons used in this game. Though with the latest update they redrew some of the stock art, which is a questionable artistic decision but an understandable time management and budgeting decision especially with the ammount of cards, and a perfectly legal move AFAIK.

It's as much plagiarizing as two different games using Unity is.
