How do I stop taunting heroes dying of poison and bleed?
Title. I'm trying out Heiner backed up by Ottis and he's a beast at stacking armour and taunting but I keep finding he gets absurd stacks of bleed and poison on him and dies. How do I mitigate this?

Use Buffer effects to negate debuffs.
Use various Dispel effects to keep any debuffs to a minimum.
Kill enemies faster than they can apply a lethal dose of debuffs.
Use items that makes you immune to bleeding.
Avoid generating Fury on Heiner(Fury will apply bleed on yourself).
Use Vitality to increase your HP pool, to prolong life.
Stack regen to stack potential bleed/poison stacks.

There's also a pet that will cast a dispel every round on the hero that has it. Won't get rid of everything, but it can help.

That pet is little Harpy, may be difficult to unlock if you are starting.

Mozzy is a pet that eats just bleed stacks if thats really the thing you're getting burned on.
otherwise it just sounds like you need to drop in 2 dispells somewhere or first aid on your tank.

I find that Shake it Off is a better solution on the warrior than First Aid. There are a lot of Debuffs that you want to get cleanes, like vulnerability, marks, crack or DoTs like burn, poison or bleed. First Aid only helps against bleed, and while you can get Repair Armor to remove marks and cracks, I do think that the all purpose 'Shake it Off' is a decent card to have all around.
Sure, it is a weaker Dispel the Priest can (and should) have around, but a priest often does have energy problems to go around dispelling everything (I do like me a Mass Dispel ASAP though)

How do you skill your Heiner? I found that an attacking Heiner can also stack ludicrous amount of block thanks to his 'Iron Furnace' talent. Get as many block charges as possible, then a few 0 or 1 cost Bluffs and Punches. If you can get Heiner to attack ~4 times in a turn, with a full armor perk line, you get around 14 block per attack -> 56 block for a very low cost. Add in a steelforge, and you get another 3 block per attack in addition.

My best performing comp so far has been a Blunt/crack team based on Malukah + Grukli + Magnus + Heiner.
- Malukah goes full vita (with a sidedish of regeneration). Get some Vitalizes and Shadow Mends, filling the rest of the slots with cheap healing spells (shadow Mends are a great option at the beginning). Later on, with the last level 5 perk, she keeps dispelling endlessly ...
- Grukli is your damage dealer. All in into Fury (though no Fury attack cards), with the fury perk of doubling your bleeding damage but increasing your fury damage and the Vita Perk of removing Bleed on application. Get as much blunt and crack as you can get away with, no defensive cards needed
- Magnus is your debuffer. Get some vulnerability and crack stacks going, if you want add marks into the mix. Vita Perk for more may life is nice as well
- and finally Heiner. Full on tank with a bit of crack support. Early on, keep defensive cards and get a shield bash or similar. Later on, your deck should consist of painly punches, pommels, pummels and similar.

Debuffs and DoTs can absolutly wreck a party if you can't manage them effectively. There's several things you can do, specifically on your tank:

* Shrug it off. I generally lean to the upgrade to pick your discard, but if you just want to use it last then it doesn't matter what, if anything, it discards and you get an extra dispel. You generally want at least one Shrug in your deck, and it isn't particularly expensive to pick up from your starting town.

* Transfusion. Bleed specific, transfer all bleed stacks to target of choice. Like the guy making you bleed in the first place. Return to sender, postage due.

* Dispel Magic/Mass Dispel. Your healer should ideally have at least two or three of these, because DoTs in general can rip a party to shreds if you can't manage them.

* Dilute. Turn Poison into Wet stacks. Especially handy if you happen to have Baptize to turn Wet into Glory stacks.

* Detoxify. Cheap, easy to cast, and can even stack a Buffer on so useful even if target doesn't have any poison stacks.

* Dat Mojo, Man! In the swamp, head to the Witch Doctor hut. If you have frog-bro with you, it's free, otherwise it's a thousand coin to get there. She sells an item that grants dispel *every turn*. Yes, it takes up the same slot as the taunt hourglass, but free dispels man!

* Stainless Steel Breastplate. Dispel every turn. Stacks with the Mojo. Kind of a rare find, don't rely on it, but if you can find it then you almost never have to worry about debuffs on your tank again.

* Harpy pet. Procs dispel every turn. Kind of convoluted to unlock, though.

Not saying you must use *all* of these, but some combination of them should substantially help you not die to DoT.

Give him the vitality ability that cures bleed and keep a fishing rod on hand
