Across the Obelisk
Similar games to this?
Hi all

I love this game and I am currently playing this with 2 other friends. We have now pretty much fully completed this and looking forward to future updates!

So I was wondering if there are anymore games like this on Steam, Epic, GOG etc.

We are also currently playing through:

Battle Bands
GloomHaven

& when they come out this year.

Hellcards
Us United.

Thanks in advance

It's hard to answer. Here are so many card battles games, but only a few have coop mode. That's why it is a problem to tell you about similar games. Although, if you like Pretty and Interesting "card-battlers" - I can recommend a Mahokenshi to you :-) https://store.steampowered.com/app/1717640/Mahokenshi/

Here are a few games I'd recommend

Spellmasons is a very early WIP but the concept is pretty fun

Wildermyth is great for 3 players and I believe goes up to 5

And for not so turn based or out of the ordinary co-op

Heroes 3 with the HD mod/Horn of the Abyss has some great online where you can play co-op vs AI on random maps which is pretty roguelike~

Total Warhammer 3 is a -blast- to play co-op as you can hand friends units to patrol so you can have one friend be in charge of your cavalry while another gets your flying corps.

If you have fun with Tycoon games you can't go wrong with OpenRCT2 or Parkitect

Wildermyth is a fantastic game and easily one of the best I've ever played, but I have to note that the combat isn't card-based, so if that's an important element then it may not work for you. If you're not set on card-based play, I'll second it without hesitation.

Monster Train

Knock On The Coffin Lid is one I'm waiting for the 1.0 of. Looks a lot like the Across The Obelisk combat.
roguebook is the best deck builder ever made imo, even better than slay the spire. monster train is also fun. darkest dungeon is cool too (though the darkness/insanity mechanic ruins it for me at later stages).

I'm not sure if you are asking specifically for coop-able cardgames are kind of rare. You can find some board game adaptions like Aeon's End, Sentinels of the Multiverse or One Deck Dungeon. But they are also a bit different.

Been a while since I've played it. Is it still very buggy? When it released it was the buggiest release I ever played. I liked it a lot, but it was seriously annoying.

Banners of Ruin was just ok, but I didn't like it near as much as Obelisk. Gordion Quest I have not tried but looks similar.

Definitely less buggy, but has many balance issues. And the release of an additional character per paid DLC instantly with the game costing 25€ is a No for me. Definitely not the best out there.

I will recommend Wildermyth as well. Very fun in a party, many events and outcomes.

Hellcards is also decent for a party (of 3 players. 2 is mostly not balanced well. Single meanwhile is okay). But not as developed yet, would wait a bit on that.

I also recommend For The King for a party. Not a card based game but extremely fun in a party.

Yeah im mostly looking for CO-OP games or single player deck builders with co-op mods.
