How high is the chance for an item to appear corrupted?
I recently found the Item 'Tempest' (Pierce Damage +4. [3 times/turn] When you play a Ranged attack: Draw 1, Gain 1 Sharp). The corrupted version of that is very nice, as it removes the [3times/turn] condition. But there is no way to trigger that it will appear corrupted right? Is it random? As in, can I just grind and hope for it to appear corrupted? Or is there a way to corrupt it myself in an event somewhere?

Items being corrupted are completely random and increases in chance with each madness level. Currently there is no way to corrupt an item.

I don't think the odds are available anywhere, but they (should) go up on higher difficulty levels. Cards certainly do, and I've seen more corrupted items as well when higher up.

There's an event to corrupt cards, but I don't think there's one for items.

Alright, thanks for the answers. The chance is probably very low, so seems like I shouldn't count on them being corrupted then.

In adventure mode corrupted Items have a 3% chance and +0.3% per each madness level

A tip I've been using is to set M1 with Impending Doom which the game reads as M2. This makes the game a bit more challenging but not to the point of stressing you out and has an increased chance of drops.

Depends on the game but the last one I had there were a fair amount

If you use the same seed you might be able to get it again
