The Lord Hanshek dispels are annoying indeed, but I usually focus on getting rid of the shadows first with maximum damage and then wreck havoc on him with poison, bleed, and burn stacks at the end. If you are able to manage your card decks effectively, you could defeat Lord Hanshek and all his shadows in Round 7 or less even on the Madness levels.
Overall, Across the Obelisk has been one of the challenging but fulfilling cardbuilder games to play. There are a lot of things to work with in the game, and the developers have been pretty active in making this game worthwhile
