Across the Obelisk

Anyone know of other co-op games like this?
While we like the game and will come back once more content is added, we don't really consider doing the same thing on higher difficulty more content. So till then, does anyone know of a game like that that's co-op?

I wish...I love the idea and it works so well as a group thing. I wish the game will get more content. Hope they can find funds for it and all goes smooth.

If anyone finds more games like this, write down. Super curious myself

The closest thing I know of is Wildermyth. It is much more focused on story/RPG elements though, and not nearly the same degree of "pick up and play".
It is basically a boardgame.

Also, it plays as a Tactics game on a grid-based battlemap, and it is not really a deck builder(more like, various items, skills and components gives you various abilities that you can use in combat).

uh, I guess you could count this game similar to dnd, and you should be able to find games similar to dnd a lot easier than games similar to this.

Thanks for the answers, but i was thinking about something like slay the spire, or darkest dungeon, only co-op.

you can go rpg and look for ♥♥♥♥ like dnd, or you can go traditional card games like Magic the Gathering. There are no multiplayer co-op deckbuilding games, like literally only Obelisk exists.

Doesn't have to be deck based. Even something like iratus or darkest dungeon.

"For the King" could be interesting for you (max 3 players). I have not played it, but my friends do. I once watched them and I would say it has some similarities.

I love this game, but co-op games of a similar bent, absolutely Wildermyth and For The King are even better, arguably, for very different reasons.
And also check out the legendary Gloomhaven, very different, but total co-op fun.
No point delving into their differences in a short post, but all three mentioned will find some fans of this game happy...

I do have both of those, but they are really more of a turn-based, open world, RPG. I meant something like this, or Iratus, Darkest dungeon. But, yeah, those are both good games, Though i can't seem to get into wyldermyth for some reason.

Obelisk is basically a unique, brilliant game,
so the only vaguely similar co-op experience is give Wildermyth another try maybe,
it's under constant updating/improvement,
but you just have to enter it with a more poetic heart than Obelisk maybe...
Dunno who you're playing with, but Gloomhaven, though very different, is very co-op,
and some folks adore it.

And kinda unrelated, but anyone reading this who enjoys pure solo games, I'd recommend Trials of Fire.

For the King has nowhere near the depth of AtO, but it's a nice aside.

In terms of co-op rpgs there are notable ones depending on what type of rpg it is (for instance Divinity for tactical and Outward for open world/survival) but in terms of co-op deckbuilders, there are none I'm aware of right now. Wildermyth I've heard a lot about but do not currently own.

I maintain a curation group for Coop Roguelikes. Unfortunately this is the only deckbuilder I'm aware of (outside of the coop mod for Slay the Spire, which is painfully inadequate)
