Across the Obelisk
Best Builds?
After quite a few attempts, I finally managed to make it to the end of current content. The setup I had felt like it was pretty strong, and would likely carry through another act or so. So far my go to has been:

-Magnus focussing on shielding everyone and building thorns. I usually only give him 1-2 damage abilities. He's probably bored out of his mind sitting up in the front, but someone's got to do it. Give him a taunt card and smaller mobs will kill themselves on his 50+ thorn charges in a turn or two. Don't overlook upgraded Warpaint to give him some early damage / card draw

-Thuls for poison charges. Most bosses don't have many ways to remove poison, and with his level 3 envenom ability you can start building up charges extremely quickly. Poison also works great with certain spells that do Mind damage = poison stacks. Besides poison Thul can throw out smoke bombs once you're lucky enough to get them. These are Incccredibblyy strong. If everyone is stealthed, mobs cant use offensive abilities. You can completely nullify boss turns and use it to build up energy for huge nuke rounds.

-Reginald. Good heals and draws early on, but ooooh man when he hits level 3. Grab every flash heal you can and upgrade it to draw a card on cast. With the healing refund this guy can keep everyone topped off very efficiently. Besides that I like to load him with forecasting cards like Fortune Telling, as well as loading him up with buff spells to energize others. Foresight with a cheap upgrade to add a draw is a free way to get vision stacks on mobs, which works great with:

-Ottis. I always purge his initial deck of everything besides defense spells and foresights / clairvoyance. With his level ups you can make his defense cards free shields and save up his energy for some heavy nukes. He can build up sanctify if you need early healing, but for the most part he sits and spams delayed response on himself until he can dump out 10 energy nuke turns. He has access to a ton of cards that grant vision. I usually bee-line to the Act 2 spider boss (bottom route) and give him the item that grants poison charges for every vision charge. Once you've got that, every 0 cost foresight grants you 6 poison stacks and a free card draw. Use foretold prophecy to keep the nukes at the ready and he can do 100+ damage turns.

I should probably level up a mage but I think the 2 healer combo is way too strong. I'll probably end up trying a no-melee run next.

P.S. don't underestimate the poison / hatchling corruption. I started a run with loaded up decks and still almost wiped to one in the first act. Bring AoE or you're gonna have a real bad time with infinite spiders.

I'm not bluffing when I say a warrior can solo the game killing everything in two rounds. Least that is the "best" build I've found power wise.

Malukah and Evelyn stacking dark are good though for non cheesy builds. I'd go poison for scout and bleed with warrior. Or replace scout with Reginald, he is a bit good at everything.

How are you getting warrior so strong? I've had games where Magnus can put up some big numbers but I usually need to get lucky with a corrupted Repitition Training or something, and even then he runs into some trouble with high Res mobs.

well, what I like doing to help with the insane poison damage which I also found toi be useful (still played the default team for now
is to have the ranger get bleed on damage hit which is cheap and if teh starting armory doesnt have it its easy to get by killing the werewolf miniboss and the warrior getting poison stacks whenever you cause bleed stacks (although that item can be powerful on the rogue as well. that way both my warrio and my ranger can cause both bleed and poison stacks
considering how early I found out that poison is a fun way to kill enemies I was really liking Thul when I unlocked him but so far. havent played as any of the non default heros

The hint is in what I said. It's possible to get over 1k aoe damage in the first round with a warrior but I think it'll be nerfed. Also it isn't much fun to play and ruins the game if you try, bit like having god mode.
