D100 Dungeon

D100 Dungeon

D100 Dungeon makes one weird decision after another. I don't get it.
D100 dugeon sounds like my sort of thing. But the PDF, you can't print it out. So what good is the PDF? Why even offer a PDF is I have to buy the print edition to have a easy to use version. Then i just found this game. I thought "Oh hey! Problem solved, I can just get the Steam version! Well surprise! You have to have the book to play the PC version.

Does the creator of this game hate money?

I am so sorry you are frustrated. It seems to me that I read there was a way to print the PDF. Maybe it was in the D100 Dungeon Facebook group? We agreed to make the Companion dependent upon the paper version so that they would not compete. We may revisit that decision in the future. If you need any direct support or would like to talk about this privately, please email me at DungeonSoftwareUS@gmail.com.

It only frustrates me right now because I don't have the money for both I guess. XD I have it wishlisted though. TBF to you guys, this program is more incentive to buy the PDF I guess. Since if I'm playing on my PC anyway, the PDF would be fine for that.

Please tell me how can I
get the PDF file?

You can buy it at Drivethrurpg for 13 dollars. But you can't print it. Honestly, just get the printed edition. It's 20 dollars I think. Then you can play the game at your table and on your PC. I'm gona just bite the bullet and get the printed edition when I have the dosh

I prefer the Steam game with the PDF. I keep the PDF open to the tables at the back and when the game rolls on a table, I can alt-tab to the PDF to read what the full result is. I suppose I could do the same with a printed book, but since I'm sitting at my PC, it just feels more efficient to use the PDF I guess.

The steam version has some issues for sure, but I've played the game a lot with paper and pen and the end of game bookkeeping is a bit tedious. That is where this version shines, it does that for you with just a few clicks. No more fixing damaged loot to sell or figuring value reductions etc.

I'm playing the steam version on my PC with the PDF on my tablet to get the flavor. The way combat is handled is disappointing because you can't see damage as it happens you have to stop what your doing and scroll to the top and there are some other things that need to be addressed. I see this as a work in progress. Martin Knight is good about listening to his fan base, I'm sure it will improve. The D100 Dice and Table Roller APP really handles combat nicely. I was hoping this would be a step up from that.

By the way, BGG has the FREE pnp versions. it's the older versions (v1 & v2) but if you want to get the feel of the game, it's a good place to start. I printed out v2 and played it a few times and was hooked. From there I went to DriveThru RPG and ordered the v3 PDF and softcover book. Now I have all 4 books, The APP, and now this. I'm not an expert, but I really enjoy the game.
