You have literally nothing to lose. At least it's not like in a physical arcade where you have to spend quarters/dollars/yen.
People these days, I swear.
I'm just a mediocre player right now, but when I see a beginner I at least try to play in a way not to destroy him, neither to be a braindead bot. I don't make some moves, try to win without running, or jumping, or go for a mirror match to show some stuff their character can do, but at least I try to make the match enjoyable for me, and hopefully for the opponent.
Currently isn't hard to see celestial players smurfing around, playing with their buttocks the first match, then just unleashing hell in the other matches, and dropping the pad from time to time. No one learns nothing doing that.
