"For slower characters dash blocking becomes essential as a safe means of approach. If Johnny does not have Tension, he will always be minus after a blockstring, allowing you to dash block to continue your advance, or dash into a f.S, or some other long range poke and take a turn depending on your poke's range. Riskier approaches are also possible. Dash 6P will beat a f.S from Johnny but typically lose to 2S unless close, and IAD will allow most characters to go over f.S and 2S, but can be anti-aired if Johnny is looking out for it."
