Worried abt the state of the game and the future.
Questionable balance from AWS constantly, wild assault, top tier pot, Johnny not changed, tower system, worst online/net code out of all current fighters, no real ranked mode, and wasted dev time on DOA 3v3 mode. Idk abt the future of the game anymore. I love the characters, music, and lore so much but this game is miserable to play. (I play bedman and leo and in floor 9-10). The player experience is so far behind other modern games even other fighters. No battlepass, no ranked mode, no costumes, nothing to really grind for. I hope that the anime and Venom can bring this game back. Knowing AWS it wont make a real comeback and this game will continue to slowly die. No way this game survives the launch of 2XKO in its current state.
(I do like this game and play it daily. I just want better for it and want the game to be fixed)

3v3 was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. It can be fun af when it works (newsflash: 9/10 times it doesn't) but look at the state of it: dead on arrival. To nobody's surprise.

Arcsys should've wasted time, employees and resources elsewhere.

Simple changes such as regular ranked matchmaking, ranks per character, buff/unlock character/profile levels by playing offline, buff $ earned by playing offline, more Digital Figure backgrounds, at the very least a level-up + stats feature on Survival = a MUCH better game, overall

Guaranteed they'd finish it all in under 2 months and would have plenty of time to spare when it comes to Venom.

Japanese fighting game developers are wack af. How can they be SO stubborn, SO backwards but SO inovative and SO ahead of the curve, all at once, is beyond me.

Your right Japanese devs are a joke. They dont listen to any western players. Hopefully since 2xko is made by a western dev team they will listen and add stuff to the game faster. Also i may be wrong abt this but I read somewhere that alot of japanese players are very complacent with their games. They dont cry and complain as much as western gamers do. Im prob wrong abt this but it would make sense.

They certainly don't say it out loud, but it seems like some of high level Japanese players also do not like Season 4:

People have BEEN " worried about Strive's future " for the past 3 years now. Yet it still maintains 2K+ concurrent players during peak times. And every time a big update + a new DLC character releases the player numbers seem to spike up for 2 weeks. The player numbers also go up when the game is on sale. I think it'll be fine at this point no matter what, the player numbers and sales numbers don't lie. And as far as the competitive community goes, they are a vocal minority believe it or not, even if they are backbone of this games community. It's also worth considering that T8 and SF6 out now so many players simply moved onto those two respective games.

All you hear abt this game from pro / high level players are complaints. The new 3v3 mode is dead already. This game wont survive much longer especially the with the launch of 2xko later this year. Most people arent happy with this game. Its only being played cause its the only option if u want a faster fighting game that has a player base. Albeit a small one

It's doing 2k players right now, barely that some days. The game was getting 3k players consistently before the horrendously tone deaf season 4 patch. They lost 1/3 of their player base due to not being able to do the bare minimum.

Everyone has constantly asked for a decent trainning room and ranked mode, instead of that we got a 3v3 joke mode nobody wants or plays and a balance patch that just made the game less fun overall.
I wish they would rework 3V3 into offline only content that's like quest mode, and allocate the server resource to 1v1 matchmaking. While they're at it, maybe improve the netcode too, since it's painful to play some matches where it suddenly spikes up on rollback and ms (happens more often in crossplay)
game sold well (seems that way) its pretty old already, they dont really care at that point i think, there will be new chars and patches but i dont think they will put a lot of resources to change that questionable direction the game is heading atm, prob just double down on it instead
hopefully im wrong tho
