Hitbox is 199 and plays like keyboard... I got one just for Strive and pretty much broke my "peak" of being a newbie gatekeeper in fighting games due to inputs on stick being weird. (I love buttons but hate stick movements so idea of keyboard/hitbox is perfect mix to me)
All depends on preference can get 3 vastly different input options at that price point so depends on what you wanna learn/what's comfortable.
If you want smth cheaper (which you said you don't but it might be more accessible), try the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai or whatever the latest version is that's available. I can't vouch for this one but it looked good and nice value.
Mind you that I haven't tried any of these with this game yet.
- Sanwa bottons, which are perhaps the best quality ones.
- Even the most expensive joystick often use Sanwa bottons, and the difference of price is in esthetics.
- 129€. I am satisfied with my Dragon Slay.
Typically change the buttons and stick itself out, but even with the defaults, still typically decent.
BUT if you have 200 to spend on... I can recommend the Panthera too.. but still the problem with th restrictor (is not octogonal). And believe me octogonal restrictor is a must for fightiong games. I mean day and night versus square ones.
I'm using DragonSlay one with octogonal restrictor. So any stick you buy be sure it has octogonal restrictor on it (or buy one and put it by yourself).
Also I would say (personal opinion) that hitbox is "less fun" than stick. A stick is always fun to use...
Thing is, a lot of reviews mention steam & PC compatibility issues. According to one person he had reached out to the producers themselves who confirmed the issue, and that there was no solution to it
So, does anyone actually own an F500? Have you tried it with this game?
I live in Europe and finding a stick is an absolute nightmare. I wanted a Qanba Drone but the shipping for that is- i kid you not- $127 LMFAO
I was thinking of the Hori rap 5 but, both the 5th and 4th one are out of stock across the board and there's no info on them coming back in stock
So they Mayflash F500 looked perfect, minus that issue that many reviews brought up...
I have a Mayflash F500 that works just fine with my PC and Strive. I did swap the buttons and stick/octagonal gate to Sanwa parts. It's a really solid stick.
0 issues with the Mayflash F500.
