amazing.
Back on topic, the mode is really strange, i don't know who thought that doing something like this was a good idea. Like, why even bother making a rating system for this mode? I legit got promoted several times without even playing.
The main player can just ignore your tag request and all you do is throw "random bullshield" abilities and assists. They should've at least make it "first to 3" and force swap/tag main player during rounds. This way, everyone would play instead of watching.
I want to play this ♥♥♥♥ offline, already. Ffs.
It's not playable offline, so not really.
Yeah, same.
Whatever this is that they did, was a mistake.
I love Vs. games, but I'm not touching this. I'd honestly much rather play DBFZ, Skullgirls, or UMvC3. Or hell, even MvCI.
Though not having an offline mode is kind of trash (I'd guess there is likely some technical issue where 4-6 players can't play on the same machine with the needed number of input devices for each player), and also putting actual ranked matchmaking in it feels like a slap to the face with respect to people wanting more of a true ranked mode in the normal game, and not the buggy Tower.
Hopefully for everyone that does enjoy the mode, Arcsys will continue to polish it and make it more playable (i.e. being able to play offline, maybe a non-ranked mode so you don't have to rely on matchmaking with a low player population). And that they bring the ranked matchmaking to the regular game.
But there are other areas of the game that deserve much more attention.
Not really. One of the game's flaws is its lack of modes, so a 3v3 mode made perfect sense, but then they decided it should be online only.
Examples:
1)Unlock character/profile exp for Survival and Versus. It wouldn't be the same as previous titles but at least you'd have an excuse to play them.
2)Add more exp for wins/losses, if playing against the CPU. 5xp per win and 1xp per loss is, quite frankly, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insult. Either add more or offer nothing.
3)Copy and paste the "tornado" tag mode, exactly as seem on the last match of Arcade, for both offline and online. 'Nuff said.
4)Divide the Tower floors by character. System already puts the DLC characters at the first floor by default.
Game would've become a lot better for lots of players and they wouldn't even waste time nor money.
It's crazy how japanese developers always have those wild ideas but fail to grasp the obvious.
