GGS OST - what happened?

Am I the only one who dislike GREATLY the OST of this new installment? I mean I don't like any single theme, It's plain BAD, and the fact that it has vocals makes it EVEN worst for me, it's super annoying during my gameplays, I wish there was an option or feature that could enable the old themes. I met the franchise playing the very first GG and the OST was PRECISELY one of the biggest reasons I got hooked to this game, I mean rock and heavymetal songs in a fighting game?!? it was GENIUS. Heck I have the OST playing on my phone several times during the week while I work at the office, while driving my car or even when I do home chores. Makes really wonder what happened here, who thought in AWS that changing the originals and awesome tracks and replacing them for new(and awful) ones with vocals would actually be a good idea? Bc of that, I play the game with the themes playing at the lowest volume possible. Again, the OST is so bad that sometimes I regret to buy this game despite of my love towards the franchise.

But, you are the only person on Earth who dislikes the Strive OST. Sorry. It just goes too hard.

I hate strives vocal songs, since day 1 I have learned to mod the game and replace every new vocal song as they come out with whatever I want. So it doesn't matter if someone chooses one as player 1, they can't force me to listen to it.

Yea just fish and use some old GG songs
It's rare for players to use Strive songs for battle BGM anyways, most people change their songs and you should too if you don't like them

In any case, yes you have pretty much the previous tracks ingame, you just gotta fish and select them to play when you are player1. But i truly struggle to believe you dont have a particular song from Strive that you enjoy.

Now, you menttioned vocals, did you forgot the actual loading screen song is strive was an XRD song aswell?, vocals and all?, literally for the last stage on episode mode. So its not a case of: "who thought in AWS that changing the originals and awesome tracks and replacing them for new(and awful) ones with vocals would actually be a good idea?". Because they already did, they just further elaborated on it for Strive.

You sound like a secondary. Guilty gear has had vocal tracks for a very long time now.
Everybody loved the Xrd vocal score in that game's story mode, as well as the reused Vastedge XT tracks, but when those exact same songs play in strive, they're somehow bad.

Just say 'I don't like strive, and everything that's in strive makes me unreasonably angry.' It's what's really on your mind.
Also, every game since Xrd -SIGN- has had the ability to unlock choice music from the old games, and strive took that to another level.

Edit: if you're actually into the music, you should have noticed that the new tracks, just like the new tracks in all the previous games, incorporate elements of every other track for that character, in addition to more callbacks to whatever inspired them. Ky's new song cribs heavily from Electric eye, which is extra fitting since he's got an electric gear eye in strive.

I much prefer the soundtracks of the older games as well. There are a few in GGST's eclectic soundtrack that I like, but not enough to keep me from listening to my personal music collection while playing.

The main reason I dislike the new style is the lack of songs. No Ky vs Sol, Millia vs Zato, Assassin theme, etc. And more than that, I would've liked to have more new vs songs that we didn't have before too (Sol vs Asuka is a super obvious one), but nope. I assume the issue is that coming up with lyrics is much more difficult than just coming up with a banger tune, so for that reason I'll say the old style of instrumental songs was better.

You can still play the old songs by choosing it on character select (player 1 aka left side takes control though so if you're playing online always pick left)

Also ggst ost is fire no arguing about it, you probably just got the "new is bad" syndrome because you've got nostalgia and/or used to the old songs.

I like majority of songs.

Giovanna theme, Bridget, May, Johny, and Axl are the ones that dont do anything for me.
I rock hard to the other ones. I like the rest so much im tattooing Necessary Discrepancy on my arm even thou i dislike Strives Ramlethal and probably other words from those songs like 'Freedom of Calm', "Calm Madness" or 'Respect for Pain'.

I just wish the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ youtubers werent so hasty with putting music videos with the wrong lyrics in them and then NOT CORRECTING THEM.

My boy lol gg xx had the good themes going Strive theme aren't bad at all. but if you don't like them change em. My favorite theme is love the subhuman self at least in terms of ggst.
