Playerbase size 2024?
So I get that there arent exactly a ton of numbers out there, mostly due to how its cross platform and only steam tacks their numbers but how many monthly players does the game get does anyone know? I kinda am interested in learning it but atleast would like to know the playerbase's size first

i'm not sure myself man, but i'd say it's above average for a fighting game. (certainly much more then the ones i play)

I know, right? It's why I could never take any of the 'strive killers' seriously. This game will be around for a very, very long time.

i guess it's because strive is just that good, you've got a casual enough system that pros can also enjoy, not only that but it's characters are also really fun. i'd say the game has a good mix of unique + fun and other fighting games can't or just don't compete with it.

Also each member of the cast is insanely unique even if the movers are smaller than say tekken the mechanics of each character is insane even the shotos are wild

Anything more than 1000 players for any fighter after 3 years is actually a good number.
Especially if that game is not SF or Tekken.

GG also gets considerably more than a thousand, not concurrent but after checking the charts it brings in a decent chunk,

Great numbers for an anime fighter 3 years in.

On steam the game is around ~1500 people playing on average, but with crossplay you can add xbox players (the game is on gamepass btw, so probably a lot of players there) as well as playstation to the mix.

it's big enough to find games in most floors at any time.

Yeah questions been answered and gettingn a solid 45 thousand unique players a week is what it looks like, potenntially more due to API related inconsistencies

It's alot smaller then the steam numbers would suggest, even with crossplay your looking at a 1\3 of the numbers if you go count everyone in the lobbies per region during the peak hours, and remember that includes console users and it still won't even get close to what is being shown as daily peak on steam. You can do this easily with a family share account deranked to floor 1 so you can see everything but floor 11, and you can use your main account for that to add the numbers up.

You can also include the Non-Crossplay lobbies but you won't find anyone in them. Most people don't even know they exist as their buried now in the options menu. Player matches are also a void you only find around 4-12 people there. People don't know the mode exists.

It's very weird. I find it hard to believe 2\3 of the logged on base are actively playing just the SP.

My Main theory is most of the numbers are just internet cafe machines idling the game.
I think this is also true of SF6 and Tekken to a even larger extent.
