While I'm still learning the character, Slayer falls short when it comes to range. He has 5K, 6H and 2D, but other than those buttons, he has to be right up your ass for his other normals to hit. Dandy Step can be mashed out so you can't really go unga bunga with it. Out of all 4 options from Dandy Step, I think only the H button is very plus. The rest are punishable on block.
Nago has neutrals skips like beyblade and clone which are quite fast. While Slayer can use K Mappa Hunch to close the distance, you can't cancel into other specials like Nago after a beyblade. Depending on the blood level, Nago can hit you from more than half-screen away and has stupid damage.
His defense mostly sucks so Ky, Nago, Sin and other top tiers can easily put him down a bit.
