So, I am a fat noob
So as the title suggest, I am a omega noob at 2d fighters. I played Soul calibur a bit and Mortal Kombat even less. I had to refund Mortal Kombat because it was too difficult to get into for me.

I am captivated by this game's artstyle and music. It is a blast to saw youtube videos and bang to the music.

I just wonder, how likely is it that I should give this a try based on my previous statements? Should I step away or give it a tiny try?

I know, super individual question that only I can answer, but I wanna hear the opinions here. Why not, I asked for it myself.

You should absolutely give it a try if you like the looks and the music. Guilty gear isn't very hard to pick up, either.
The game is great but I won't sugarcoat it, It could be very difficult to try. Fighting games are hard already and this game is already 2+ years old, so you won't find a lot of pure beginners.
But If you're ok with learning despite losing a lot, you will find it very rewarding.
The easy way should be to find some friends willing to start with you or find a beginner Discord if you don't mind the extra step.

What are you expectations here? As with any PvP game, you are going to lose a lot. You will lose more often if you play against skilled players and less often if you play against very unskilled players. If you can decouple the fun of playing the game from "winning" (i.e. seeing the "YOU WIN" victory screen) you can have an absolute blast with this game regardless of your skill level. If you are not interested in PvP gameplay, this game will severely disappoint. There is not much Player v CPU content here. A lot of people get most of their fun from this game (and many fighting games) from interacting with the community and playing mostly against their friends. If that sounds fun to you, I would strongly recommend finding a discord server or trying to make friends with people you meet online and developing your own group of friends to play the game with.

If you're in just for the the singleplayer, then I think that game is probably not for you, as it is seriously lacking content.
A story mode that's only cinematic and no gameplay, an arcade mode and that's it.
You're absolutely in luck, because only fat noobs play it.

So I am expected being stomped by pro's?
Damn. Such a shame

The 'pros' are locked in their own floor, and can't interact with you unless you get to their level.

So are there singleplayer ways to "train"?
Coming from me, who started from 3D FG Tekken 6 (and I'm super casual at it a.k.a bad), GGST is very easy to pick up. Though it may take a couple hours to get the basics but you'll get it along the way. Also, it's going to be easier to start if you have someone who's already good at it but not competetively good. It gave you motivation to be better (at least in my case). As in for me, some of the basic of FG that I learn from GG somehow transfered to my Tekken 7 gameplay (maybe because I decided to learn the very basic of FG when I started GGST).

So yeah, give it a try, you can always refund if you don't like it though . I think it's still worth for the music and art alone.

Possible to listen to the music from older titles ingame?

it's not true insofar as the people on floor 10 are far from being 'pros'
