Elphelt? Really?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ REALLY? I waited patiently since release for one of my 3 picks to get in, one of which has been in the top 3 most wanted characters for every single poll and they give us ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ELPHELT. One of the most universally hated characters in Xrd. Its over, the dream is dead.
I think im finally done with Strive, it's been real.

she turned out not to be as ass as everyone was afraid off gameplay wise, anything else bruh she looks ugly i hate her

It's insane how many people say Elphelt is ugly because of the thicker thighs. I'm pretty against woke nonsense too, and of course I see it alot in ggst... But I think they tried their best to make her look hot still while making it for a broader audience. Western/American general audience is more into the thicc thing right now and seem to prefer more 'realistic' proportions in female characters, that's just how it is atm. But some characters designs still lean more toward their previous demographic of fans, like jacko and ram still look visually scantly clad and dont really fit the western category 'thicc' because they have thinner legs/thighs And I'm not saying there isnt an agenda being pushed with some of the characters... because there is, but it's not the whole game, they're trying to appease everyone.

If you try to appease everyone you will ultimately appease no one in the end. The problem with trying to appease the west is you start to attract normies. It's long been known that normies and anime don't mix for a lot of reasons. One prominent reason I see all the time is when Japanese anime studios would design their characters to represent the common smaller body frames of Japanese women compared to western women and all the western normies gonna lose their crap cuz they see a child since she's smaller.

Another thing is western feminists will see the obvious skimpy outfits on a lot of anime girls and lose their sh!t.

I don't want to sit here and write a book on the reasons. Anyone who's really into anime like I am can see why you shouldn't attempt to appease the west if you're developing an anime product because you're just going to open the door to hate mobs who can't stfu and get over things that aren't real.

If it's industry-wide, chances are it's not the developers but the platforms.

Like how YouTube and Twitch will demonetize streamers streaming the games.

Or how Lollipop Chainsaw's developer had to negotiate with Sony in case they'd refuse to publish.

And then there's the China market which has a whole laundry list of restrictions.

But I ain't talking about the wokeness, Elphelt just looks really dang budget. Too many big patches of solid color. At least have some prints or accessories or something? I just can't buy it I'm sorry.
