Sin is right inbetween mid and high tier; you knew what you were getting into when he came to Strive; he was NOT going to be as good/busted as in XRD like every other character. His resource managment is self mainteined but you also do not enter an exclusive long recovery animation when over extending.
He is a different character from the previous entry; as someone who recently was forced to start playing XRD and as a Sol main, Sol XRD is a different beast comparead to Strive's. And they both play very different games.
just say he sucks were trying to get into top 5 here
It's not even about him just being top tier. He is more boring to play overall.. Nago took his gimmick that made him a fun character and now he's just a dude with a a 3rd of his moves he had before and all he can do is jump and sluggishly run around neutral fishing for pokes to dash into a boring 50/50. Even if they made him top tier I still wouldnt like his new style because the design in general feels so boring to play with. I guess the character is just not for me anymore.
How is this a troll post? Because you don't understand where I am coming from? Most Strive iterations from older games have been at least alright coming into them at least feeling semi-decent/fun to play whether they were top tier or not. Characters like Testament or Baiken may not have as much as their older games but have been done in a way where they still feel good to play and have been given new things to make playing their character still feel complete and responsive.
Sin gets none of this. Nago literally took the base of what made Sin's character fun and instead of giving Sin something else to keep him interesting or changing him up completely they made him slower, shorter range and have a 3rd less of the options that he had before. They couldn't even be bothered to make his meat eating move not be completely useless. He literally feels half done.
indeed he did also KV been doing nutty stuff with him anyone who honestly says hes bad or boring whatever cant play him well enough
Bad, sure. Boring? That's purely a matter of opinion. Someone can't be wrong about calling something either fun or boring.
nah thats just a bad take fella cant be saying sin boring but nago not when they do the same thing but nago just easier
we just gotta down play harder but now i understand that fella only like nago cus he broken tryna hide it as ''fun'' lol
They don't do the same thing though, not at all. They're completely different characters with completely different playstyles and gimmicks.
You could maybe compare Nago to Xrd Sin, but that's irrelevant since the Sin we have in Strive is nothing like he was in Xrd, he lost all of his core gameplay gimmicks (calorie meter replaced with auto-recharging stamina, he can't do special to special cancels at all anymore, etc).
I can understand being disheartened about his kit being torn up and spit out, he was my main in Xrd, but this version of Sin is not that bad, and he can actually get really dangerous if the person playing him knows how to space out with him.
What I do not like though is the food thing. I feel like they just did not know what to do with it, and instead of it being tied to meter regen they just said "Well let's just make it RNG". Which wouldn't even be bad, if the buffs on it were at least decent or you had a chance of like getting an item that boosts your stamina regen.
All in all, I like him. It's definitely a different take on the character and while he doesn't have Special to Special cancel anymore, I do like his new special commands with follow ups and the command dash prompt inside of them for kara cancels into Tyrannt Barrel.
